Virtual Workshop – Power and Control: Rethinking our Power Needs with Children

The Early Learning Series for early care and education providers will present the workshop, “Power and Control: Rethinking our Power Needs with Children”. The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 9 from 6:30-8:30 PM on Zoom. The cost for the workshop is $10 for 2.0 Registry Credits. The deadline to register is March 3 and space is limited. For more information, please see the flyer Power and Control Workshop.

This thought-provoking workshop will engage early care and education providers around the topic of power and control. Participants will discover their own thoughts about power and control. They will also take a closer look at their interactions with other adults and children in their care, understand how the need for power fits with child growth and development, learn new ways to empower children, and balance tensions in the classroom. Participants will leave with ideas on how to manage power struggles and create harmony within the classroom and the children in their care.
