Register for the “Trauma Informed Care for Early Care and Education Providers” workshop that will be facilitated by Tim Grove of SaintA. Tim Grove has been on the forefront of trauma informed philosophy and practices.  This workshop is specifically designed for early care and education providers.

Cost $10 for 3 Registry credits / Free for parents, grandparents, and foster parents

Understanding trauma and its effects on the developing brain is important for caregivers of young children who play a critical role in nurturing and preparing children for school success and supporting families. Participants will learn about the latest in trauma informed care philosophy and practices including:

  • The 7 essential ingredients of Trauma Informed Care
  • Scientific information about addressing the impact of adversity and stress in childhood
  • Practical tips to prevent or mitigate the impact of “toxic stress” in children
  • The impact of childhood adversity and ways to create an early care/educational setting to meet children and families’ needs.

The workshop is presented as part of Racine County UW-Extension’s Early Learning Series and funded by Racine County Human Services Department.
