COVID-19 – Food and Financial Resources, Extension Office and Staff Availability

Office and Staff Availability

Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak and guidelines from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, UW-Madison, Racine County, and federal agencies, our Extension office has limited availability and access with many staff members working remotely. Extension programs have been transitioned to video conference, when feasible. Call 262-767-2929 or email uwextension@racinecounty.com for more information. For the latest information on COVID-19, visit the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Racine County Coronavirus Response Hub.

COVID-19 Financial Resources

The coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, is impacting households, communities, and businesses. A new national survey shows that 1 in 5 households in the US have already had their income cut or stopped altogether. Extension has created a web site featuring frequently asked questions that highlight some common financial challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The answer to each question has links to government websites and the types of assistance that might be available.

Extension will be adding additional information as new policies and resources are put into place.
