This 24-hour program meets the requirements of Wisconsin Act 455, which requires youth under the age of 16 to hold a certificate of training in order to operate a tractor or self-propelled implement of husbandry on a public road. It also meets the child labor requirements in agriculture under the Fair Labor Standards Act, pertaining to the employment of youth ages 14-15 on farms not operated by their parents or guardians.

Parents and children are invited to attend a “Community Book and Block Party”. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Burlington Public Library (166 E. Jefferson Street). Come and play with the blocks, learn how books and blocks can be used to foster early learning skills in children, and have fun! The event is free and open to the public.
